This fully edentulous mandible offers an unobstructed lower-arch model for learning implant placement and planning oral rehabilitation in the absence of natural teeth. Its polyurethane construction permits drilling, cutting and implant-site preparation with surgical instruments, making it useful for introducing an implant system or practising the sequence of a supervised laboratory exercise. The model can also support demonstrations of osteotomies, simulated fractures and the relationship between implant locations and the overall mandibular form. Because there are no remaining teeth, instructors can focus attention on the edentulous ridge and the distribution of a planned rehabilitation across the arch.
